Supervision practices directly impact the clinical and professional development of supervisees and trainees. Individual observations and meetings are essential to high-quality supervision. However, supervisors may also elect to provide some supervision in a group format. When thoughtfully planned and carried out, the group supervision format provides the supervisor and supervisees with unique opportunities that do not exist in the individual supervision format, such as contacting multiple exemplars and varied role-play opportunities, observational learning, and public speaking. In this even we will discuss some strategies for realizing the unique benefits of group supervision.
