A Behavioral Systems Analysis Approach to Strategic Planning

Organizations in growth industries, such as ABA, often find that organizational opportunities and threats lie around every corner. Strategic planning has the potential to provide a framework for organizations to analyze and take action on those opportunities and threats. All too often, though, strategic planning events end up providing the organization with a pretty report and not much else. Using Behavioral Systems Analysis (BSA) in strategic planning efforts can help organizations not only set strategic goals, but also build an implementation plan that outlines the necessary actions to be taken at every step along the way to goal achievement. This presentation will outline how BSA can be used to improve strategic planning efforts and achieve strategic goals.
