Chuck E. Cheese’s® Autism-Friendly Sensory Sensitive Sundays Through April

March 30, 2022
Chuck E. Cheese’s® Sensory Sensitive Sundays are back for another year during April, Autism Awareness, Acceptance, and Advocacy Month. The program aims to provide children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other special needs the opportunity to experience the fun of visiting Chuck E. Cheese’s® in a sensory-friendly environment.
This program originally started as a three-month test in more than 50 locations in the Northeast regions of the U.S., but due to its overwhelming success and interest from parents and organizations serving the autism community, Chuck E. Cheese’s® has extended this program nationally.
The program kicks off on the first Sunday of every month with extra special parties.
The program details include opening two-hours before the general public to allow families in the autism community to enjoy smaller crowds, dimmed lighting, the show and music turned down or off, and limited appearances of costumed characters. These changes make for an environment more suitable for those facing sensory challenges.
For more information on the program and the complete list of participating locations, visit the Chuck E. Cheese’s® website.
