Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers Expand Into Fishers and Columbus, Indiana

Now Reserving Appointments for Diagnostic and ABA Therapy Evaluations

Indianapolis, In. –To provide even more children in Indiana with life-changing care, Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers is expanding with two new locations this summer. Centers in Fishers, Ind. and Columbus, Ind. will bring the pediatric therapy network to 17 locations across the state.

Currently the largest autism therapy provider in the state and one of the largest autism therapy providers in the United States, Hopebridge was one of the first of its kind when it opened its doors in Kokomo, Indiana in 2005. Founder Kim Strunk sought to provide a more personalized, intensive therapy program to help children touched by behavioral, physical, social, communication and sensory challenges. The team’s determination and efforts helped open new opportunities and create accessible insurance coverage options for this underserved population. Since then, Hopebridge has grown to extend its center-based autism services from Indiana to Kentucky, Ohio, and Georgia, with plans to expand to even more states in 2019.

“Even after more than a decade of providing for families in Indiana, there’s a growing need for autism services in the state,” said Kim Strunk, Hopebridge Founder and Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). “Though our center-based services have grown across multiple states since our beginnings, Indiana is our home base and our mission has never wavered from making sure all children with autism have access to the therapy they need to reach their full potential.”

The Fishers and Columbus centers are currently scheduling diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children and toddlers as young as 15 months of age. In addition to diagnostic testing, Hopebridge is also reserving appointments for applied behavior analysis (ABA therapy) evaluations, with ABA therapy expected to begin August 2019. The center-based, interdisciplinary program is also intended to incorporate occupational, speech and feeding therapy in the future to meet the full scope of needs of its patients.

“Hopebridge has largely impacted the local communities of each of our centers; serving more than 5,000 families since 2017 alone and creating nearly 1,000 jobs in Indiana since opening our first center,” said Hopebridge CEO Dennis May. “Together, the Fishers and Columbus centers will reduce wait times and provide care for 100 more children in the autism community, as well as bring more than 110 new jobs to the area.”

Hopebridge’s new area jobs are in place to ensure every child receives one-on-one, intensive therapy. The multidisciplinary team combines a blend of knowledge and experience from Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBA), registered behavior technicians (RBT), clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and other industry professionals.
