Hopebridge expands into Macon with state-of-the-art autism therapy center

Opening May 2019 for Diagnostic Testing and ABA Therapy

Macon, GA – Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers, a pediatric, center-based therapy network, today announced it will open a clinic in Macon to satisfy growing demand in the area.

The center will create more than 55 jobs to guarantee every child receives one-on-one, personalized therapy, a majority of which will be board certified behavioral analysts (BCBA), registered behavior technicians (RBT), clinical psychologists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists.

The expansion adds to Hopebridge’s growing therapy network in Georgia, and by the end of this year they plan to grow to 11 total centers across the state. The new Macon therapy center is located at 4931 Riverside Dr., Suite A, Macon, GA 31210.

“Since establishing Hopebridge more than a decade ago, I’ve seen how early identification and intervention can have a profound effect on children with autism,” said Kim Strunk, Hopebridge founder and chief clinical officer (CCO). “By bringing more centers to Georgia communities, our goal is to increase this impact and give more children and their families the tools to build toward a life of independence at a young age.”

The new Georgia location plans to serve approximately 50 patients across Macon-Bibb County. In addition to diagnostic evaluations and ABA therapy, the innovative, multidisciplinary program plans to add occupational, speech and feeding therapy to enable Hopebridge to treat the entire child rather than simply a diagnosis. By housing all services and therapists in one place, the in-center model is able to increase success in patients’ communication and social skills, goal progress and school preparation beyond that of in-home and other therapy options.

Hopebridge intends to reduce their wait, provide answers and give their kids the chance to lead their best lives.”

The state-of-the-art facility houses more than a half-dozen settings to allow for natural environment training, interactive play and peer socialization. The space includes semi-private therapy rooms, a mock classroom, gross motor ‘gym’ and fully functioning kitchens and bathrooms.
